"Hello America!" - a message of greeting from the UK by Pat Condell including some nasty truthiness from good old Europe. [MySpace Video]
A little hack-y. Nothing I've never heard before. Also, "drink driving"?

"You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him suck your cock."
I did get a chuckle out of that one, I must say.

The phrase "MySpace Video" will keep me from clicking on a link much better than "YouTube Video", it turns out.
but it's a close race

"All American Christians are wackjobs! All white people can't dance! All black people are good athletes! All Mexicans are lazy! All Asians are bad drivers! All Myspace videos are idiotic and force me to comment on MeFi using lots of exclamation points!!!!!"
Remember kids, generalizations employing overly simplified platitudes is a universal language we all can understand. It has a beat we can all nod our collective heads to and should be employed at every possible chance.

Who on earth is Pat Condell?
Good to see that simplistic-left-wing-comedy hasn't been swept away by the current scourge of boyish surreality. And by good, I mean bad.

This guy is like a British version of Ze Frank.
Ze Frank is charming, witty, intelligent and good to listen to. This guy is crap. Welcome to modern Britain!

I thought this was great, don't know what everyones problem is. does anybody outside a small (and shrinking) subset of Americans think the bush administration has done anything well in the last 6 years? and I'm not talking about double-negatives here.

Your optimism is heartening, but I don't think it's a small subset.

So it's a cynical, sarcastic, pissed off asshole dismissively ranting in absolutes about America, the UK, religion, and Tony Blair.
The big difference between this guy and Ze Frank is Ze Frank's ability to recognize nuance. And also, Ze Frank isn't British (UKian or whatever, you'll excuse my ignorance, as I am American) or an asshole. But whatever. Nuance.

Concidentally, the BBC today kicks off a three-part series on Anti-Americanism. Washington correspondent Justin Webb visits Cairo, Caracas, and — sacre [Pepsi] bleu! — Paris.

I like this guy because:
1) the accent
2) he wasn't reading it
3) he has balls [shouts at internets from basement webcam type of balls]
4) current events have turned me into a cynical, sarcastic, pissed off, dismissive American asshole.
YMMV

You know, I agree with his sentiments, I really do, but his hectoring tone makes me wanna stab a broken bottle through his throat. Of course, I'm just a stupid American, so whadda I know?

"Tony Blair feels the hand of history on his genitals." What's wrong with you people? This is your manna! When did Metafilter, of all people, grow a blinding sense of laugh-inhibiting patriotism?
