Everybodies favorite tower defense game has a major new release Desktop Tower Defense just released a Pro edition. It's got new graphics, new creeps and multiplayer. If it's Friday it must be fun and flash!

Could there be a concept more inspiring than "Everybodies?"

what's the inverse of a grocer's apostrophe, anyway?
posted by shmegegge at 10:32 AM on May 1, 2009

surely, it's a grocers apostrophe, now that I think about it.

Make fun of my spelling. It's not my fault you can't edit your posts.

I got scenario wrong too.

I think the idea of desktop tower defense pro is plenty compelling as it is.

Input and output. The opposite of a grocer is a plumber.

What are you Canadian?

I spell like an American, poorly and with great confidence.

Thanks, I love TD games.

Scenario 13 was tough. Here's my opening grid. The level 1 pellets across the top simply space out the mobs so the top dudes arrive after the side dudes. Continue beefing up the guns in the middle so they can do damage to darks (which ignore the first 'x' amount of damage a gun can do).

I continued adding guns to the middle, leaving room for the little beasties to get through, until I got this. Upgrade the guns in the middle before building new ones.

For a good non-flash TD game, check our Defense Grid (Windows only). There's a demo version and a full version that costs $20. Well worth the money if you like these games.

UK.

God I'm addicted to this again.

Seriously, think about it. More than one set of "everybody." It's pretty awesome. Your spelling errors reveal breadth of mind.

Does anyone know if there's a WiiWare implementation of a TD game? I love these and haven't spotted one.

GeoDefense is the best damn Tower Defense for iPhone. Behold its raytraced glory!

That was kind of fun but the rebooted Gemcraft is my fave bar none.

Raytraced? Sure about that? Looks great, though - watching someone else play it was strangely compelling. Even if he obviously needs to work on his strategy.

Too reasonable. Never happen. Ask for it and get flame-broiled. :)

TD-wise, I actually prefer the (much too short) TapDefense for iPhone/Touch. It's simpler, but very pretty and almost perfectly balanced. A bigger emphasis on resource management than positioning, too.

That's not what 'raytraced' means... you mean 'vector'.

Well, faux-vector. :)

Level 23 can go straight to hell. It's not a level, it's a lie. I don't believe anyone who says they've beaten it.

Goddamit, I just came back here to see if anyone had posted a suggestion for beating 23. I can get to the secnd-to-last wave and then it all goes to hell.

Well, I'm glad 21 is so very easy for you all. So glad. So very glad. That's just great.

Actually, I may mean 20. The one with all the booster blocks in the shape of a snowflake, where it's soon obvious where to put everything but not obvious in what order and when to upgrade what. You know the one.

I hate this game so much. And I can't stop playing it.
