That's pretty cool. I've always found it so sad, all the brilliance and the weeks of work that go into these things, all too often just winding up in the wastepaper basket.
But I notice that of the submissions on display, only two are from North America, and they're total crap! The state of architecture in the US and Canada is so dire compared with the rest of the world. For one thing, by EU law all public buildings must be chosen through competition, whereas here the job is just given to the cheapest developer, with design quality considered a frivolous extra. posted by Flashman at 9:13 AM on January 17, 2010
