I'm British and I live in NY and that video didn't grab me.

There is better rapping happening in the UK right now. Check out DON'T FLOP - Rap Battle - ‬Blizzard Vs Mark Grist (youtube)

...and the whitest motherfucking thing outside of Cheltenham it appears.

But you know, each to their own.

I'm British and I too would like to apologize for Piers Morgan. His tea video is rather good too. "When I say "oo", you say " long"".

This is great. It picks up the kind of post-Britain imagery that was begun in the 1960s. By making it playful and ironic they break down whatever leftover meaning it may have held. The past is a pastiche to be picked up and played with as you will. We can say these things and makebelieve that we are these people, simple for the fact that we no longer are.

Good god, why did I know this would be a rapping thing?

I danced around my kitchen while listening to this. Sorry, but I do believe that may mean I enjoyed it.

I'm sorry, but I thought that was jolly good.

His flow is wack as hell, and he's wearing a pith helmet.

Not a patch on Flanders and Swann's Song of Patriotic Prejudice. (Youtube; actual song gets underway about 2:45)

Weird, I would have sworn I learned about this here but ... there is a vicious chap hop battle between Professor Elemental and Mr.B The Gentleman Rhymer (and his banjolele). The first shot was fired in the song Fighting Trousers. Here's a mash-up/mix of the two of them.

Chappism is a whole big thing here in the UK, with their own Olympiad and everything.

Let me tell you, as an American living in Britain oh these many years, you fucking well should apologise for Piers Morgan.

I'd take an American Private Eye, plus Ian Hislop, any day though. At least I know that once, in a douche-off, Jeremy Clarkson punched Morgan apparently.

As far as I can tell, in recent years we've sent over Richard Hall, Reginald Hunter, Elizabeth McGovern, in the plus column, and yes, sorry, Madonna and Gwyneth Paltrow in the minus. But Piers Morgan is the nuclear option. Fugg that twat

Eumachia, Mr B. was definitely on MeFi previously, and in fact he makes a short cameo in this video.

Personally I think he's better, but this wasn't bad either.

This is far, far worse for Britain than Mark Russell is for the United States. I'll have 'Yakety Sax' and you-know-who any day. What bilge.

I enjoyed that immensely - nice beats and that flow was far from wack!

From the non technical side... eh it's having fun with stereotypes, no harm no foul, even if they don't apply to me (other than the pith helmet).
