Too short; ought to have used real cat.

I think we will look back at this as the beginning of the end of the popularity of cat videos, Journey songs, and the Internet altogether.

I was simultaneously thinking "This is painfully thin" and "I want more." It walks the line.

I can't hear this song anymore without thinking...

Poor Meadow :(

It wasn't a listenable song when it was new, and slapping a cat (in any form) on it doesn't improve it.

In the full-length video, the camera pulls back to show Steve Perry with his hand in the puppet, and then pulls further back to show a cat with his paw in Steve Perry's ass.

I hate Journey and don't really like cats, and yet I find myself strangely drawn in...

Much like a hot oil enema, this was better than the Glee version.

I'm not clicking the link because I can *still* play out the entire fucking song in my head -with lyrics? with at least most of the lyrics - as though it's playing on the radio and it's still 1981 and well my own Proustian ratatouille is my own but suffice it to say I've had enough of it, thanks.

(I will now, most likely, because I am weak, go click the link).

This was recommended to me the other day on the YouTube trending page, and I found that I liked it way more than I probably should have. I think it was the moment where the cat puppet was moving his head in time to the beat that won me over.

Also, if a full version of this isn't playing at every Red Wings game from now on, I will be sorely disappointed.

Somewhat Sopranos ending, I thought

This is more of a dog puppet song than a cat puppet song. A cat puppet might sing Kate Bush or a cat puppet might sing the Scorpions, but not Journey. It's just true.

Am I the only one who found the puppet frightening?

Real cat or no, my cats will probably seek revenge on me in the night out of sympathy.

via BoingBoing..via...via...via....the original source, like almost everything these days, was Reddit, which talks about the reason the puppet was made, and the movie the puppet was made for. Apparently those eyes light up.
