Sad Panda No More

After being separated from her long time companion, who was sent to another zoo in China, Sijia the panda started showing worrying signs of depression. So the staff at Yunnan Safari Park decided to make things a bit more fun for her, and built an amusement park in her enclosure, including a plasma television showing her feeds from other pandas around the world.
This is not the first time that pandas have been given access to awesome toys, which they seem to enjoy very much.

The zoo might someday be their natural habitat.

Well, for one thing, that would tend to stop them from turning the habitat into a series of empty apartment blocks.

Actually, their natural habitat is expanding and the population growing.

Panda pimping is big business. They lease those animals for about a million bucks a year plus room and board.

a plasma television showing her feeds from other pandas around the world.
They cured her depression with reality TV, basically.
I wonder how she would react to cat videos.

Wouldn't it be better to allow pandas to live in their natural habitat and just put plasma televisions in zoos around the world showing a live feed of their awesome life together?
Then, how would tourists be able to pay $100 to hug pandas?

Curiously, watching video of other people does not do any good when I'm lonely.

Ya know, if someone came in the middle of the night and kidnapped my wife, I'm pretty sure what I wouldn't need... is an amusement park. :-)

So it's solitary confinement, but there's a swing and a TV? Great.
