Will wins Pop Idol

Will wins Pop Idol - the contest to win a recording contract finally comes to a conclusion. To me, this programme just about showed how easy it is for anyone to end up in the charts. Now it's time for them to find out what the music industry is really like...

I have gotta say in defence that at least he can sing, which is more than can be said for most of the manufactured tat that is spoon fed to the mewling cabbage head children of this country.

(I hate having to come to work on Sundays)

That is true... although my point was more about the music industry as opposed to the individual.

And work on Sundays.. tell me about it.. I've been here since 5am on a callout.

Another irony seems to be that earlier contestants who got knocked out have been offered recording contracts anyway.

I have been vouching for Will all the way since they got to the final ten. I'm so glad Gareth didn't win, he's extremely annoying and I'm glad the country didn't pick 'boy next door' looks over someone who actually has a personality.

We shall see what happens.. Will has a somewhat Robbie Williams look and charm about him, but unless he actually has the drive and ambition to stir up the industry (in a way Williams has done himself) expect to see him serving hot dogs in two years' time.

I thought he meant George Will.

I'd love to see George will strip his skin off on This Week, much as Robbie Williams did in that Rock DJ video.

Hah? Yeah! Rebut that, Cokie!
