I loved her sheepish laugh when she was explaining why she suggested Opisthoteuthis Adoribilis: "Because they are just, yeah...really cute." That's my vote too. Because they really are!

Aww, it's just this li'l squishy with giant eyes and flappy ears! I don't suppose they'd make good pets. But someone needs to make a plush toy of these.

Yay! I was super happy when I saw that they were doing another Cephalopod Week. What's up so far includes another video of some algae ocotopuses running on two of their arms (not legs, Luke!) which are sososo much cuter. There is also a Tumblr!

If we're talking adorable cephalopods, I have to rep for the bobtail squid (not true squid, but cousins to them and to cuttlefish), particularly when it buries itself in the sand. wriggly little arms SQUEE
