somehow that 32-second video has like six or seven distinct moments where it causes me to re-burst into laughter

Oh my god I am in a cubicle, I had to cover my nose and my mouth to stop myself from laughing out loud.

I need to file this in my "cheer up" memory bank.

Please note that, though they look similar at a glance, "Metallica" and "melodica" are not interchangeable, so adjust your expectations accordingly.

Truth: That melodica version is the first thing I turn to when I hit unshakeable glumness. (It shakes it, the glumness. Try it.)

Your melodica players were so preoccupied with whether or not they could that they didn't stop to think if they should.

God creates dinosaur.
God destroys dinosaur.
God creates man.
Man destroys God.
Man creates melodica version of Jurassic Park theme.

The way the queasy melodica undercuts the "grandeur and wonder" of the scene makes for off-the-rails hilarity!

I would very much like the melodica version on top of this and then that would be wonderful.

How do I get this melodica earworm out of my head?

This is a thing that is incredibly old and I'm just coming across it this second, yes? Normally that makes me sad but not today because today I got to see this for the first time ever!! youre jealous admit it but seriously the sniggering when does it stop

That didn't sound snarky in my head. Weird. Take 2: I love this, it's hilarious, thanks for posting!

I use the ketchup robot with flute accompaniment

I swore to myself not to watch that video for another 12 months since the public laughing fit of October 2015. Why, MeFi, whyyyyy?

This makes me crack up. Every. Damn. Time.

Slightly on topic: does anyone know where I can find a similar video that features Andrew Bird? Instead of a harmonica, it's a badly played violin. I've seen it once and I'm desperate to find it again.

I was gigglesnorting from the mental image the title evoked. The reality was so much better.

Thanks, those are hilarious!
(Though I'm uncomfortably reminded of the time in 4th grade when we were studying dinosaurs and I had big plans for my end-of-semester project involving the making of highly-detailed sculptures of all the various saurian species out of modeling clay. Of course, I waited until the very last minute and ended up on the night before the project was due, furiously cutting vague dinosaur-like shapes out of sheets of corrugated cardboard. It was not my proudest academic moment.)

Is this my chance to share my favorite wonky-looking dino statue? :D

Check out this fat green thing at "New Taipei City Dinosaur Park" in Taiwan. More photos here. I want to hug it.

Well, this is fantastic. Also, this reminds me of the TNG edit Flauting Danger, which is always a fine thing to remember.
