Palmer Luckey: The Facebook Billionaire Secretly Funding Trump’s Meme Machine (Daily Beast) Nimble America says it’s dedicated to proving that “shitposting is powerful and meme magic is real,” according to the company’s introductory statement “We conquered Reddit and drive narrative on social media, conquered the [mainstream media], now it’s time to get our most delicious memes in front of Americans whether they like it or not,” a representative for the group wrote in an introductory post on Reddit.

Along with Luckey, Nimble America was founded by two moderators of Reddit’s r/The_Donald, which helped popularize Trump-themed white supremacist and anti-Semitic memes along with 4Chan and 8Chan. A questionnaire to become a moderator at r/The_Donald posted in March had applicants answer the questions “Is there a difference between white nationalism and white supremacy?” and “Was 9/11 an inside job?”

If you were thinking about purchasing or coding for Oculus, now would be the time to switch platforms.

Luckey is no longer there, but it would be worth sending a message to the corporation who enriched and enabled this shittiest of human dregs. It's too much to hope that it would affect the FB bottom line, but a big ass PR black eye is well deserved for all these SV racist pricks.

Fun fact: I just completed a journey to demo all three major VR options and found Oculus to be the least impressive. (Winner was HTC Vive)

My understanding is that FB was quite aware that Luckey was a waste of space a long time ago, and Oculus is unfortunately going to play second fiddle in the VR fight.
