You know something, Jon Snow...

Every year, Jon Snow describes a popular song for the Big Fat Quiz of the Year and that's always been plenty funny enough, but over the past few years what has followed is pure joy...

So whenever you need some cheering up, I hereby invite you to the Jon Snow Dance Party:

Drake - Hotline Bling
Taylor Swift - Look What You Made Me Do
The Weather Girls - It's Raining Men
The B-52s - Love Shack
Justin Timberlake - Can't Stop the Feeling
Meghan Trainor - All About That Bass

Reliably one of the best bits of the BFQ. Particularly for those of us who need a reward for enduring primary school plays every year.

Haha, these are great!

"Why is Jon doing that? Where's the proper news?!"

I would far rather watch Jon Snow dance about to chart R&B than watch the proper news in this day and age.

I love these and enjoy them every time. (I also love the plays by the Mitchell Brook Primary School kids.)

Utterly delightful!

I got confused and thought it was the other Jon Snow. I see they've met, however...

Why can't America have panel shows like Britain does? I love the Big Fat Quiz!

I just recently stumbled onto this video of Charlie Brooker showing Jon Snow what video games are. I don't think that's hyperbole. Snow definitely knows more about dancing than he does about video games.

Yeah I realized I should have said "British television journalist and national treasure Jon Snow" instead of just putting it in the tags. But I hope it was enjoyable confusion!

Also we kind of have a panel show - they brought back Match Game!

I unironically love Match Game to death. Dirty jokes, drunk comedians, Alec Baldwin making fun of himself? What's not to like?

Death of the monoculture, maybe? It always seems like our attempts at panel shows get slotted in the direction of E! or NPR.

Thank you for that second tag.

To be fair, I do like to imagine Kit Harrington dressed up as Jon Snow dancing to Hotline Bling while thinking about Ygritte.

Our British friends are total pals and upload a ton of panel shows and panel show clips to youtube. There also exists a subreddit, r/panelshow, where people post schedules and links to panel show stuff.

The NPR show Wait Wait Don't Tell Me fills that bill for me.

If you want another set of fun BFQ links to peruse - there have been times when they've paired Noel Fielding with Russel Brand or with Richard Ayoade, and those are some delightful compilations

Noel Fielding with Russel Brand or with Richard Ayoade

Those guys are congenial agents of utter chaos, and make me very glad I stumbled across this show.

I feel like I'm coming down with something, and now all I want to do is wrap up in a fuzzy blankie, have a warm pot of tea and watch endless hours of WILTY and BFQ, maybe some 8 out of 10 cats do countdown. Yay, comfort TV. :)

The 'Goth Detectives' is one of the greatest pairings to come out of the BFQ. And any appearance by Richard Ayoade.

The YouTube channel WILTY? Nope! has been a godsend for watching that show. The compilations are excellent, and the format allows one to avoid seeing some of the duller anecdotes that can come from watching entire episodes. (The Kevin Bridges horse ep being an exception; pretty much all of those stories are great.)

For those of you who may have avoided this year's Big Fat Quiz of Everything because there was no Noel Fielding or Richard Ayoade, please note that Vic and Bob (❤️❤️❤️) were on instead and they're the original congenial agents of utter chaos.

A+++++++++++++++++++ guests, would quiz again.

I remember thinking Claudia Winkleman and Miranda Hart were quite fun as well.

I enjoy Cladia Winkleman on most of the panel shows but she 110% great on WILTY.
