3 on 100: some of Manchester United vs one hundred kids

After the Late Late Show Football Club's previous upsetting defeat against the Los Angeles Football Club, James Corden took a different tactic and invited three of Manchester United's team, Juan Mata, Ander Herrera and Chris Smalling, to play against 100 kids. Good game, good game.

Here’s where someone points out that LAFC is a contender for the playoffs in their first season. And also MLS is the real deal with the league handling things just right and MLS is here to stay and get behind your guys now, before the Portland-Seattle festival

I was genuinely terrified for the children. But the pros did a great job of using soft kicks, lobs, and body awareness to not crush one of the little monsters. Good on em.

This was very amusing and I’m relieved no one got hurt on either side in the melee

That was really entertaining. I am not a fan of Mourinho but his deadpan attitude was perfect for his lines and he genuinely seemed to be having a good time on the pitch.

It's just an upscaling of the Coutinho & Wijnaldum vs 30 kids event from last year.

I'm trying to imagine if this were done with, say, the 1975 Leeds team.
Broken children, everywhere on the field.

Does it hurt James Corden to say the word "soccer" like it does every other Englishman in the world?

When Corden subs in, one of the players says, "I'm afraid of hurting the children. I'm not afraid of hurting Corden." which cracked me up.
