Ars Technica's Christmas downtime federal government shutdown special: four movies retold as medieval tales, thanks to the highly enjoyable online Historic Tale Construction Kit, based on the Bayeaux Tapestry (inspired by a tweet from @pinstripedline)

The Bayeux Tapestry previously:
- It was the early days of the graphic novel (October 18, 2017) The Bayeux Tapestry - all of it, from start to finish. (SLYT) [22:40]
- Bourne on the Bayeux. (April 12, 2007) -- The Bayeux Tapestry, animated (YouTube) [4:16]. Or, if you prefer, the tapestry served as old school, Web 1.0 embedded images [dead link], scene-by-scene with explanatory text (official site), and as a QuickTime VR panorama.

The Historic Tale Construction Kit previously:
- Retconning William the Bastard. (October 29, 2018) -- HTCK open-sourced
- We have tapestries (November 26, 2003) -- "nine pages of raw [Something Awful] humor created with the toy"
- 1066 and all that (September 15, 2003) -- original Flash-based HTCK

I don't know which is better, the Commando "Twas a grand prevarication" panel, or the Silence of the Lambs Goodbye Horses panel.
