"Poop bread is slightly warm"

A dinner at Modern Toilet, a poop themed restaurant with three locations in Taiwan.

I am a huge fan of their YT channel, but this one kinda fell a little flat to me. There are definitely moments where his partner is, like, "why am I here?" and just doesn't seem to be enjoying herself the way she normally does.
I mean, this seems like a great place to have a birthday party for an 8 year old, you know?

It's surprising they've been operating in some form since 2007. Running any kind of restaurant is a difficult business, one with shit for a theme seems particularly fraught. I assume they're all located in tourist districts, where they can cater to a steady stream of novelty seekers rather than try to develop a regular clientele to keep them afloat, but I don't really know.
I posted because I thought it was a fascinating video of a remarkable place. Pay attention to the decor when the camera looks away from the food on the table.

It does seem like the kind of place you'd only go once. So, tourists or people trying to show their dates how cool and funky they are. Although the food looked slightly higher quality than I was expecting. It looks like their signature dish is their ice cream, so they might get repeat business on that.

I really like this videography style where they quietly show you all the details without hyperactive commentary. It really makes you feel like you're in the place. I want to go here and eat poop-looking food!

That dish in which the meatballs are served? For the uninitiated, that is a trough toilet, for squatting, pretty common in Japan before all those fancy electronic Western toilets/bidets that are all the rage now. (Guessing they are/were common in the rest of Asia, too.)

Just wanted to report that my 11-year-old thought this was the greatest thing he had ever seen.

I lost it when the menu card proclaiming “Crappy Mega-Combo for Two” entered the frame.

We have a poop-themed dessert café here in Toronto. It's been converted into a mask factory during the city's shutdown.
