The Seinfeld Roundtable

I believe this is from 2007. The Seinfeld Roundtable [1h] has the core cast plus Larry David sitting around talking about the show. Michael Richards doesn't speak much. I enjoyed it enough to share.

Seinfeld is having a sort of resurgence this month. I put him in my category of "never gets old". Included in that category for me is George Carlin, Richard Pryor, Don Rickles, Rodney Dangerfield, Jackie Mason, Carol Burnett, Lucille Ball, Groucho Marx, Lenny Bruce, Jackie Gleason, Tim Conway, Lily Tomlin, Don Knotts, Eddie Murphy, Robin Williams and many more. I am quite sure I am leaving too many off this list. Not necessarily comedians per se, but people who can sustain my laughter and have or have had a sustained career in show business.

I guess I could have a problematic category of funny people such as Bill Cosby and Dave Chapelle. Some might move Rickles to this category, but he is a product of his times. I guess it could be argued too that Howard Stern is the Don Rickles of more recent times.

I also think there should be a category of people who are known for being serious such as news casters and serious actors who are quite funny in interviews, their personal life, and the occasional out of type cast part. I would say that it is mostly woman that fit this category for me because I think women have had to hide their personalities for sexist reasons to reach the top of their professions.

Thanks for posting this hippybear. I too enjoyed it.

Seinfeld is having a sort of resurgence this month.

Only because he has a Netflix movie to plug. He’s still a grumpy, conservative asshole.
