Nanaca Crash Fun Japanese Flash game, although I'm pretty sure I'm missing out on the nuances.
849 FIRST TRY.
This seems to be all luck. But if not, HAH!

I just found out that you can click when you're up in the air and will teleport . . .
Also English instructions here.

2189 meters. I'm getting it now. This could be dangerous. (Look for the Special when you hit someone and click quickly)

There's a couple of those girls (?) that will give you a speed boost if you click right when you hit them. If you hit two in a row you get a combo boost.

Yeah, combos. I am in awe of insertcredit.com's score, but they're hardcore like that.

3999. I got up to 185m off screen as well.
You can time the down-angle teleports to hit the character who is lit up for the special.
I can't figure if the deaths do anything.

1875.95 and I had absolutely no idea what was going on but I liked making the girl slam into him with the bike.
I'm sure the back story is all flowers and sensitivity though.

Ok, that was a lot of damn fun. Even if I was seriously confused and/or laughing my head off.

hahaha
ok, 11,110.02. I'm done.
Going Special to Special is ridiculous.
Protip: use your aerials to control who you land on. You want to land on anyone whose box is lit up in the Special window. You don't want to land on the green girl unless she's lit up.

I HATE the stop girls, except when they turn into specials...
6370.13m
What sucks is when you get three combo specials in a row going horizontally at a 500 meters a second, only to hit the guy who makes you go straight up. Fucking two minutes of hang time ~50m lateral movement.
I was going to post this around noon, but then I couldn't stop playing.

8574. I'm going to bed. Also, my shortest (since I am contrarian) is 10.20 m, deliberately catching the stop girl. If anyone can beat that, I'd love to see it.

juv3nal: You didn't catch the stop girl. Anyone can hit for 0 power, but have you the SKILL to catch the stop girl thusly?
Also,
Still not as good as the Flavorful One.

What's really fun is going for major vertical air. 709 meters straight in the air!
Combo special into break special, landing directly on angle-up, supplemented with three straight aerial crashes. I think it resulted in over 4,000 meters of distance to boot.

The comment says something along the lines of "It's like he used up his life's supply of good luck; pretty scary". Can't argue with that.

This is what game developer Jamie Fristrom would call a "high variance" game, in that the outcome has a large element of randomness despite the players skill.

bobo: Indeed. I just made a simple mouse macro that seems to be approximately as good at this game as me. I'm hoping it really woops ass. So far its high score is 1499 in about 10 attempts. I'm going to let it run all day.

recursive, what does your macro do? Does it click randomly? Constantly?

zsazsa: It's a loop. First it clicks on the area where "Try again" appears when you lose. Then it waits and clicks in such a way that results in a nice initial collision. Then the mouse cursor moves over to the middle of the screen and clicks like mad for a while. And loop.
The funny thing is that it seems to be better than me at getting specials. The one downside is that the upwards aerials are used very quickly, frequently in the first 100 meters. It doesn't seem to be the hindrance I thought it would though.
I just checked on it now, and I see it has surpassed my high score. It is at 6959 currently.
