So it's the middle of July and you say you haven't found your perfect summer jam yet? Does Ga Ga make you gag? Are you maxed-out on MIA? Then what you need is the petite princess of Swedish electra-pop, Robyn, doing Fembot. So hot. Still need convincing? Then would you believe Robyn with Staygold, and a live version of Backseat.
I particularly like the part about "automatic booty applications". What does it mean? WHO CARES, SUMMER JAM WOOOOOOOOOOO!

I found my favourite summer jam for this year when I first heard Jr and HHP's 'Show Dem'.

I dunno, I am all for fembots but this just ain't doing it for me. It's almost working but it just falls flat.

Fembot is the weakest track on the new album for my money -- even though I love the flow of the verses, the chorus is a little too cutesy-bootsy (the little "ya know?" at about the 2 minute mark sealing it). The real standouts are Cry When You Get Older, None Of Dem, and giant weepy disco number Dancing On My Own.
The second song in the post is so rad though, and I wish I could buy it somewhere instead of watching the youtube all year.
Here's a New Yorker piece on the album from a week ago. And Body Talk Pts 2 and 3 are on their way within the year apparently!

I've been making this connection recently too. I downloaded the soundtrack to that game last year and it is surprisingly amazing. It sounds kind of weird as is, but it wouldn't take much work to get these to blow the lid off of some of the places I dance. I'm still waiting for this moment.

Apparently Letterman had skeeved her out before the show, she did the typical female Letterman guest cringe-away when he kissed her hand.
(Did anyone see Sheryl Crow trying not to eat that chip-and-dip he gave her after her performance?)
