Your only youtube link goes to a gym demo session. No game footage?

Speaking as a person who would be hard pressed to drop a basketball into a garbage can, I point out that we have no idea how many missed shots were cut out of that youtube video. NERDS RULE!

The somewhat self-aggrandizing DukeBluePlanet Youtube channel that I linked to has highlights from every game as well as Top 10 plays and highlights from previous seasons and the national championship.

Admiral Haddock, the Duke Chronicle article I linked to says that Kyle claims to have averaged about 20-30 attempts per shot.

I fucking love those plays. I got to set a pick like that once in high school and I've never forgotten it. Ref called a foul. Not on me. On the guy that I floored.

A name to watch for this year. Sophomore guard John Jenkins out of Vanderbilt. Led the nation in scoring as a high school senior with 43 points per game. It's surprising when he misses. He could be the next Stefan Curry.

Also, watch for me raising hell on TV from 6 rows behind the bench.

Seth Curry is the next Stephen Curry.

Singler is featured prominently in the fantastic Adam Yauch-directed documentary Gunnin' for That #1 Spot, about the inaugural "elite 24" game in New York. You should watch it.

Here's a clip from the doc. It shows him making similar trick shots in his high school gym.

I still don't think I've seen anything as impressive as this or it's sequel.

At 20-30 attempts per basket, that's more shooting than I have cumulatively done in my life. Of course he's amazing.

My favorite Duke Basketball video has a few cameos by Kyle Singler, but features Greg "tea bag" Paulus.

Duke Sucks.

Nahum Tate is right - Mark Titus did the same thing last year with a better sense of humour.

Kyle is from Medford, Oregon His brother E.J. currently plays basketball for the Ducks. What? You thought U of O only had the #1 football team? Tsk.

At 20-30 attempts per basket...

Still, that's pretty impressive. The last shot from the bleachers is a feat of engineering. The spin on release causes the ball to loft in an arc, when it bounces the spin reverses, seemingly causing the ball to shoot straight up, and aerodynamically drift just a bit over, so that there's less area covered for possible landings.

Heh. UO does only have the #1 football team. It's going to be a looong season for Ducks basketball. They are a bad team in a bad conference, and I think they have a few injuries too.

I see last place in the Pac-10 (fighting with Cal and Stanford, unfortunately) in their future. And the Pac-10 might be even worse this year than it was last year.
