Puss 'N Boots

Cat videos, we've all seen them. They are in fact the lingua franca of the internet. But none of them, believe me, can quite prepare you for the pure psychedelic strangeness that is Puss 'N Boots. From the wonder world of K. Gordon Murray, the same man who gave us Santa Claus And His Helpers.

More on Murray, and previously.

Wow kitty does _not_ look amused.

I love they way they did the voice for that cat... sorta like the Hannah Barbara logic that all dogs will naturally overpronounce their Rs.

So...people on the internet transcend communication divides with cat videos? I'd really like to see that, actually - a universal translation protocol based on trans-national ability to appreciate cat behavior.

For the cat lovers among you (a thriving community on MetaFilter it seems), could you still love a cat that looks like this?

For a split second I thought "K. Gordon Murry" was "G. Gordon Kitty", like some sort of cat dressed up as the former Nixon crony.

Which would essentially just be a cat with a mustache, maybe a bald head too.

Needs more digression into a story about Thumbelina that ends up being longer than the movie that was promised in the title.

Although, yeah, Santa Claus was my favorite MST3K before I found guides to steer me to the genius that is Pyuma Man. I mean, Puma Man.

I feel like I've been waiting my whole life for K. Gordon Murray.

I want to see the outtakes, where the cat clawed the poor child to ribbons during the "booting" sequence. Another lost masterpiece of film....

I am so glad I am not on acid right now.

I don't really think that it could make it that much worse than it already is.
NO! DEAR GOD, NO!

While this is pretty awesome, my favorite Puss in Boots is still Christopher Walken by far. THAT is pretty freaking trippy.

I don't remember taking acid, but the cat with the boots says I must have.

Although I'm a certified dog lover but I also can't deny that cats are really adorable..especially when they gave you that signature look of them... :)

What I wouldn't give to have the full stable of those costumes and a soundstage. These movies must continue to be made. They simply must.

I can't handle the voice acting. I now have a new 'I really need a laugh" video.
