The Boogie Woogie Bugle Girls

It's The Victory Belles! The house vocal trio for the National WW2 Museum's Stage Door Canteen in New Orleans perform medleys of war-time hits in shimmery brown uniforms (or Santa suits).
The National WW2 Museum in New Orleans is pretty cool. As one might expect, plenty of space is devoted to local son, Andrew Higgins, whose "Higgins Boats" were the LCVPs used at Normandy, etc. It was a little disappointing that there was no mention of my grandfather who ran the landing craft program for the Bureau of Construction and Repair at the time, brought Higgins to Washington and worked with him to turn his initial design into a working prototype landing craft.
Anyway, the Victory Belles are pretty cool, and they don't just stay down in New Orleans. I've also seen them at the New York Historical Society museum, and I imagine they do quite a bit of touring. I gather that it's a rotating cast.

"The National WW2 Museum in New Orleans is pretty way cool."
When I was there last year I didn't get to see this show, but I understand it is good. The whole museum is excellent, of course, too.

The Andrews Sisters were a very popular trio in that WWII era, and accompanied Bob Hope to entertain the troops in USO shows. They probably recorded Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy.
