Yes, zombies can swim.

Corpseburg lays a zombie survival skin over Google Maps. Punch in an address to create a map. Scavenge local schools, businesses and hospitals for food, weapons, meds and barricade materials.

And while zombies can swim, so can you. Setting up your defenses on the water (I assume some sort of raft) makes for a decent home base.

My strategy of thinking up great ideas and then waiting for someone else to implement them continues to work superbly.

I like this, but wish I could venture on to the next town.

It was dark on your way to Pullman Quay Grand Sydney Harbour, You encountered 9 zombies. You used your Fists to defeat them, and you took 31 damage. The kitchen looks like a disaster. Piles of rotten produce, mixed with what you think is a dead racoon?

Yes, that's pretty much how I remember my last trip downtown with the children. At least in this version no-one urinates on me in front of the opera house.

Got to day 30, and the extraction zone, and the evacuate message is essentially "Haha, sucker. Survive as long as you can"

Or... I could do something else with my time. Thanks, game.

This thing couldn't quite get my address right (to be fair, neither does Google Maps). Oh well!

To be fair, I never put my actual address into games like these. I'll gladly put in some from the neighborhood, but even though I could probably go in (since the code is open on git) and see exactly what it tracks, I just find it easier to just use local landmarks.

All right, that settles it. When the shit hits the fan, I'm heading for the Unitarian Universalist Church over on Wiehle.

Played this a few days ago while on break from marking. Feels like a good idea is in there, trying to get out. It might not use a Google Maps overlay, but Rebuild 2 is a lot more fun with a similar idea.

I sympathise. I can't stand the punk version of Tosca.

Unlocking all the bonuses was fun. It's a little buggy (I think; could be the glitches are intential) and the scroller displaying the "5 fortification are guarantee of having it survive the night" text when you are in nightmare mode and that doesn't apply isn't all that helpful. It would be nice if movement on the map wasn't so inflexible. Several maps I played on had the population centres straddling block boundaries with rural areas or water around the edges which made it "unrealistically" tough to maximize looting.
