Quoting this movie was the first time I cussed in front of my dad. "Broke into the wrong god damn rec room, didn't ya? I mean, G-D." Heh, oh well. I mean, we were watching the scene at the time, so...

Also, it's worth noting that this was part of Newgrounds' "BaconFest." Personally, I think they missed an opportunity by not calling it "Baconalia." posted by Eideteker at 9:45 AM on April 4, 2010

When I was a kid, I knew I wanted to be making movies when I grew up. So I devoured movies everywhere I could and prematurely became a snob about them.
But one night I was at a sleepover birthday party for a guy who was only even kind of my friend. Nice guy and all, but it was one of those things where I always invited him to my parties, and his om clearly had me added to the invite list as reciprocation, and his friends were all more popular than me, but whatever.
So that night, his mom had rented two movies for us. The first was the forgotten Anthony Michael Hall vehicle Johnny Be Good, which is truly awful but was fine by us because it had tons of nudity and we were like 9 or 10.
The second was Tremors, which I was expecting to suck because it was a low-rent monster movie about rednecks.
Good god Tremors was awesome. If The Neverending Story, Part II was the first movie I ever saw which proved to me that movies could suck, then Tremors was the first one to prove to me that "bad movies" could rock. posted by Navelgazer at 2:50 PM on April 4, 2010 [3 favorites]
What the heck? How do you get up on the buildings and stuff? What the hell good is a Tremors game if you can't get up on stuff? posted by scrowdid at 3:24 PM on April 4, 2010 [3 favorites]

"B-movie"? Blasphemy!
Yeah, really. There's absolutely nothing B about "Tremors". posted by soundofsuburbia at 5:17 PM on April 4, 2010
When we were 12, my cousin and I stayed up way too late watching Tremors on the little TV in his room. It is one of my favorite movie experiences ever, and to this day I have never watched it in its entirety again.
Anyway, this game is great. People should definitely also play the other side of the equation, which is brought to you by the super awesome Death Worm (Windows only, as far as I can tell. Sorry) posted by Monster_Zero at 8:12 AM on April 6, 2010
