I don't know about dealing with COVID, but I'd suggest that being careful for a year wasn't for nothing. You and your partner were safe and healthy when a lot of other people weren't, and apart from yourselves, you very likely prevented other people from getting sick from you.

Authoritarian, unaccountable government tends not to work too well whatever economic philosophy you decide to pair it with. Especially when that government eagerly throws the entire country headlong into The Paradox of Plenty. They're mad because people were questioning that Sanders cares as much about Civil Rights as Economic Rights, and Lewis came out and vouched for Clinton on her efforts in helping black communities and furthering Civil Rights. So what's the overlap in beliefs between Trump and Sanders? For the life of me I can't find the logic that makes a Sanders supporter have Trump as option B.

I voted for Bernie in the primary, but will happily vote for Hillary come November. She's growing on me and I admit I was swayed by a lot of misleading information and maybe some internalized misogyny. I have done my research and I am actually pretty excited about her being president!

Not 100% sure if this was posted in the other thread, but I highly recommend Ezra Klein's new piece on Hillary Clinton: Why the Clinton America Sees isn't the Clinton Colleagues Know.

I think he really explains the structural misogyny that's held Clinton back so far. Fully understanding this imbalance is key to addressing and fixing it.
