Youtube user Seth Cutler lovingly crafts powerpoint presentations of various Christine Lavin songs, including this test for psychic powers.

Other Culter/Lavin joints include "The Moment Slipped Away, "Too old for the National Spelling Bee", and "Prisoner of their Hairdos".

Want more Lavin without the PowerPoint? Her own youtube channel features Harrison Ford in "Harrison Ford", the ugliest animals in the world, a drunk puppy song, a song about the dog whisperer, and a song about local storm trackers.

Lavin, who closes her shows with feats of baton twirling, is notable for having the longest known song title: "Regretting What I Said to You When You Called Me 11:00 On a Friday Morning to Tell Me that at 1:00 Friday Afternoon You're Gonna Leave Your Office, Go Downstairs, Hail a Cab to Go Out to the Airport to Catch a Plane to Go Skiing in the Alps for Two Weeks, Not that I Wanted to Go With You, I Wasn't Able to Leave Town, I'm Not a Very Good Skier, I Couldn't Expect You to Pay My Way, But After Going Out With You for Three Years I DON'T Like Surprises!! Subtitled: A Musical Apology"

A Musical Apology is in my not even remotely humble opinion one of the greatest songs ever recorded. I love how she says the whole title, too -- I especially loved the way her breath hitched around "to leave town".

My teacher did one of those "psychic" tests on my class. She was furious when I managed to break the system. Instead of everyone else who was thinking of a grey elephant, I was thinking of a brown emu. I had to go stand in the corner as punishment.

I came up with orange flowers, so one of us is not psychic.
It's probably not me, because I also came here looking for Sensitive New Age Guys.

Whoa. The soundtrack of many a car ride from my childhood in the 80s before PowerPoint was a thing: now with PowerPoint, on YouTube. I am unable to put this feel into words besides hahaha I love the Internet.

I've always preferred Shopping Cart of Love. Anyway, I think that whole "who are hard to tell from women" line in the original Sensitive New Age Guys (she's done a few versions at this point) kinda made me think it wasn't quite right for a modern metafilter.
