We just hosted the official tour here in OKC a few weeks ago and it was a SMASHING success - turnout was fantastic! It was a LOT of fun.
Here's the article I wrote previewing the event for my paper. Such fun!

I was there. Holy crap was it crowded. And two food trucks for what seemed like a bazillion people. I ended up taking a 15 minute walk up Hennepin for take out food, best decision of the night.

I thought the 2nd place finisher was better than the Golden Kitty winner.

I also think all Internet Cat Video Festivals should be required to show Ze Frank's Sad Cat Diaries.

It's disturbing how many of these I have already seen. What am I doing with my life?

Wow, events like this might make cats-on-the-internet a thing.

Coffeehouse press is putting together a book (inspired by Carl Wilson and Let's Talk About Love) where various writers analyze our fascination with cat videos and what it says about our culture. Kickstarter link here (mods please feel free to delete if this is an inappropriate posting of a kickstarter link).

Those engineers have some placid cats. You wouldn't get very far with those adorable tinfoil headpieces with The Best Cat In The World Or At Least In Frowner's House.
