I love her! and Dave, too. His drumming face is the best.

I saw Nandi Bushell's video before Grohl responded to it, and it's worth a watch all by itself. The kid is so much fun to watch, as a result of how much fun she's having playing.

Listening to Dave Grohl having to catch his breath after playing "Everlong" makes me feel... better, somehow.

I first heard of Nandi from this tweet with her rocking the hell out of Anarchy in the UK. She's already more punk rock and cooler than I ever was or ever will be. She's so into it.

Also, Them Crooked Vultures are under appreciated so this is a nice reminder from Grohl.

Who the hell would have thought that the drummer for Nirvana would have been such a pure light of joyous rock. (Also, that girl is having a blast and a half while killing it, which is great to see.

I followed your second link because I had never heard of her and... Now I have seen a ten year old play the Purdie Shuffle and, uh... BRB, going to put "for sale" sign on my drums

In the video she has where she's reacting to Dave - that giggle she gives when he's done and he waves at the camera OH MY GOSH MY HEART

We do not deserve Dave Grohl.

I've seen plenty of "this kid is amazing at [instrument]" videos but I've never seen a kid having so much fun.

I've never seen a kid having so much fun.

EndsOfInvention, not wanting to take away from Nandi's spotlight here, but have you seen the pure joy of Yoyoka, a 10-year-old girl from Japan, nailing Bulls on Parade?

Dave Grohl had to exist to maintain balance in the universe for all the trauma, anger, and suffering that Kurt took on.

Be careful, Dave, this kid could be a stalker.

As a fellow drummer, three times her age and at best a third as good, watching Nandi has been such a joyful reminder of why I started playing in the first place. Nandi, Yoyoka, Dorothea Taylor, there are so many thrilling and inspiring drummers out there!

Dave Grohl is the Tom Hanks of the rock world. And Nandi looks like she’s having so much fun. It’s so inspiring.

I've played the drums all my life. And as a random white dude, one of my earliest I guess feminist experiences or memories is related to drums. I was just banging away and wondering why are there so few women playing the drums? And as a, what, 16 year old or so, it felt "obvious" that it is because women can't play the drums, obviously! But then I read a newspaper article, and I wish I still had it, which was basically about women's rock camp. And there women were talking about how liberating it is to just make some noise, just to be loud, just to shout at things at the top of your lungs. Something I thought was just a given, which I can do all day long, and didn't even notice as a thing. I think this is one of the earliest things where I noticed how different experiences can be even for people living side by side.

This is a goddamn cry of freedom - and, much more importantly, a goddamn cry of having some fucking fun! I wish I had twitter to tell Nandi to just MAKE. SOME. FUCKING. NOISE.

When the Pixies reunited in 2004, I was lucky enough to have a friend whose firm let us use their box seats at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. Sitting in the box next to us was Dave Grohl. I was more excited for that show than any concert in my life, no contest, and Dave Grohl was just as fucking excited as I was. He rocked out on air drums the entire time. It added so much joy to an already incredibly awesome night - one of the greatest musical experiences of my life, for sure.

So yeah, 2020, I guess.

Because of course she is. Wow.

Dave Grohl is a world treasure and all, but really just keep scrolling through her Twitter feed. Don't miss her RAGTM cover or her reaction to Tom Morello's response.

Funny enough, I just saw Dave Grohl doing a drum battle against Animal (from the Muppets of course.)

Not only is Grohl a gentleman's gentleman, he's a really skilled drum teacher. The song he's chosen to challenge Nandi with here is going to need quite a lot of work on her part to nail to her own satisfaction, and he knows it.
