NSA BANGERS

DJ Hennessy Youngman follows up CVS BANGERS [prev.] with his new Soundcloud mix, NSA BANGERS.
NSA BANGERS is an audio landscape full of paranoia, espionage, epic snooping, unhealthy obsession, and the stress of being a contemporary type human being. Basically, NSA BANGERS is the soundtrack of Freedom! And Freedom is expensive y'all! Apparently, it like, costs your Freedom!
This is totally a theme night at the local roller rink, right?

This is the opposite of creepy, for me. Anti-creepy. It helps me accept the banality of how terrifying this security state is without accepting that this is necessary/there is no escape/we might as well give up on trying to resist this. It makes it easier to cheerfully go about wondering how to maybe make the world marginally less shitty.
It's not exactly satire. It's absurdist but it's also something else that I've seen before and appreciate, though I don't know exactly what to call this. Maybe just reassuring. More art reflecting reality without the cynical layer of "we're fucked so let's just roll over and die", please.

That's the best fake Don LaFontaine impression I've ever heard.

You realize I was parroting the bit over "Every Breath You Take," right?
