The team that brought you the Real Life First Person Shooter has struck again with Real Life Hitman which is even more impressive. Behind the scenes.

They'd need an assortment of mimes and Pepper's Ghost effects for a Real Life SUPERHOT, but that would make for the most innovate sensory experience in years.

So cool. That woman with the red hair sounds so much like M.

Next they should do Stardew Valley.

Orange Pamplemousse: The woman with the red hair is actually Jane Perry, a voice actress who was involved in Hitman: Absolution. (The video credits claim she played Diana Burnwood, 47's handler, but IMDB says that was Marsha Thomason and that Jane Perry was the menu/tutorial voice. I really thought it was the same person, but I'm terrible at voices.)

I hope they can figure out a way to combine this with a "Real Life" version of Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes, (official site, excellent example of the game).

Even without that addition, I could see this being an incredible thing to have set up during a gaming convention like PAX held at a nearby location for Twitch/YT/etc streamers. A streamer gets 1 hour to complete the mission (replacing Agent 47), guided by another offsite streamer team (with viewer input, albeit delayed) who might not even be at the convention, and acts as the 'control team.'

I think I'd be way too stressed out to play this. I wouldn't want 47 to die.

... for a Real Life SUPERHOT...

I'd really like to go a day without getting "SUPER. HOT. SUPER. HOT. SUPER. HOT" stuck in my head. Nowhere is safe.

Does nobody else suspect that it's a lot more likely it's an actual video game demo, rather than a "real life" production going to extreme lengths to look exactly like one?

Just the video was a ton of fun. I'd love to play that game.

Looks like the real Oldway Mansion to me.

I grant you that they've done a really good job with this. The camera work really captures the weird angles of a video game, and the main actor has been made up to look like CGI. He also moves a little unnaturally, like a video game character.

I... don't understand? Which part do you think is a video game demo and not live action? Did you watch the behind the scenes video? Or their first video, and the behind the scenes vid of that? They're worth watching because they explain how they did it in real time.

This was a lot of fun and had really high production values as it was sponsored by the Hitman game studio (which explains the Ferrari)--but their first videos were really charming because they were less perfect...

Now hire the Assassin's Creed Parkour team and make that game.

Though that's probably too dangerous.

"Now jump to that roof!"
*splat*
"... uhhhh."

All of it, or almost all (maybe they snuck in a few real shots somewhere?) of the Hitman video. Not their first FPS. Not the "behind the scenes" part, I think most of that is real. I mean, fake. I mean, not computer generated.

There are lots of little hints that stand out to me, but the camerawork alone is too good an imitation of a game engine to not actually be one. The way it moves perfectly in sync with the player character.

Wait are you truthering the video? Why would they fake it? I'm so confused.

This is all just a viral ad for Hardcore Henry, right?

because I cannot wait to see that movie, don't judge me

Why would they fake it?

Because a video game studio paid them to, to promote the fantastic graphics in their new Hitman game. Seriously, does nobody else see this? The shadows are too perfect! The flashlights! The lense flare! The Ferrari exhaust! Is there any part you can point to and say no, they couldn't do that in a fancy new video game running on the best hardware available. You're kidding yourself. Everyone flawlessly moving as if they're a game character! I tell you, the whole world is an illusion. OPEN your eyes to the TRUTH! None of this is real.

I just had an idea. Is there a videogamey rotoscope (or similar) filter you could use to make this look like an actual hitman game?

Like...every single part? There was, literally, not a single second which looked like it was being run on a fancy new video game running the best hardware available. Am I being trolled here?
