Oh, this is good... But also good a new season of Yellowjackets is near enough for a trailer? Woohoo!

I'm not sure what I think of this, it's interesting but it has a sort of.... I guess unfortunately-standard by now slowed-down-and-spooked-up vibe to it? "Slowed down and sexed up" (e.g.) and "slowed down and spooked up" (e.g.) are sort of tropey at this point, even if they're well executed.

I feel like F+tM are at their when they bring out that bass-rich wall-of-sound in, say, Strangeness And Charm.

I'm not really feeling it, myself, but mostly because the original was bouncing with energy. Slowing it down kind of transforms an in-your-face complaint anthem into more of a less-active lament.

It's not bad, mind, and I see where they're going with it, but I'm not sure that I'm the target audience waiting for them there.

I never listened to much F+tM, but dang she's got quite a voice. However, I don't really like this cover. It's technically fantastic but the constant shifts in bpm just threw me. If it were a slow start but the majority of it kept the energy of the chorus then this would be a big hit with me, but it's like a buzzkill just as I start feeling the beat.

Florence is indeed extremely pipe-ful. I like singing along to a fair few F+tM tunes because it sure does force me to pay attention to breath control and pitch.

Contrary to a few of the reviews above, I like this much, much more than the original.

As someone who listened to Tragic Kingdom a whole lot as a teen, loves Yellowjackets, and has listened to 'Lungs' about a million times, this was right up my alley. Thank you for the post!

A Nice enough song, but it’s not really the same song without the bounciness, massive tempo shifts, and the nastycheap 90’s guitar tone. It’s a little too respectful to be right.

I agree with both mhoye, and DipFlash, I like it more than the original (in fact I prefer dental surgery to the original), but this slowed down and spooky thing is a little played.

Tried listening to this again after once the other day and decided it's not for me. I'm not a big fan of No Doubt (and actually quite like FATM), but this cover is just too plodding and dull and important-sounding. What's great about the original that the sarcastic, pointed lyrics contrast with the goofy L.A. skate-ska crashing around; and also that it's a lot of fun. To me this is a just a few degrees removed from, I dunno, Muse doing a cover of "Come Out and Play (You've Gotta Keep "em Separated)".

I love Yellowjackets, and I love Florence and the Machine, so this was just perfect to me!
