Bobby Fingers goes large scale and builds a headboat* of Jeff Bezos. Of course the build is completely over the top, utilizing a giant CNC robot, large hand crafted eyeballs, several musical numbers and they even travel abroad to get a hair transplant.

* a headboat is a boat sized head, of course. With oars through the ears to row about. As is tradition there is buried treasure, but this time it's not the featured build. Because it's an actual row boat.

Threads on the previous Bobby Fingers projects include dioramas of the Micheal Jackson hair on fire at the Pepsi shoot, Steven Seagal Choke Hold and the Drunk Mel Gibson Arrest.

I just watched this, it's astonishing. I'm a patron but whatever video player patreon uses is not compatible with firefox so had to wait to watch with the shitmunchers. Well worth it.

The thing I like best, I think, about Fingers work is you never know what is coming next in any of his videos.

I haven't watched this yet, and won't be able to do so until tomorrow, but I truly think that this guy is making some of the present moment's best moving images of any kind. And each one is better than the last.

It's inconceivable to me that this guy has so few subscribers. I too am a Patron and the work Bobby Fingers has been doing the last couple of years has been my favorite media bar none. As a Patron he's super friendly and chatty too. I've been led to believe that this little ditty was his work too, from before when he was Mr. Fingers.

Finding the coordinates in his videos evades me anyway, except for one embedded in the AI-generated Total Recall artwork from I think the Steven Seagal diorama.

It so happens his former bandmate still goes by Blindboy Boatclub, so… (Between them, the cultural work they’re still delivering is staggeringly rich and relevant.)

The thing I woke up the next morning thinking about was that bit where the massive foam block is rotating on the table, and they show a little cut-out bit so the block doesn't trigger the emergency stop. That two-second shot is going to be on repeat in my head all day.

I discovered Bobby Fingers earlier this year after his Michael Jackson diorama video, and was so floored by his level of craftsmanship paired with absurdist commentary and detours, I reached out to him to see if he'd be open to talking to me about his work. It took some cajoling, but he agreed to a short email interview.

In my research, I quickly found Bobby's real-life identity and previous projects, but he asked that I maintain his pseudonymity, which I was happy to do. I posted the article on Waxy.org back in May, and astoundingly, I think I'm still the only person who's interviewed him. My post is currently the #2 Google result for his name.

Thinking about the amount of money and effort put into these is wild! Especially this one. Also kind of unfair that one of the Rubberbandits guys also has multiple other talents that he's this amazing at, like where did you also find the time to be a master prop mask maker?

I’m glad someone else noticed the detail shot of the E-Stop cutout in the foam, phooky. I had to rewind it to show everyone else. My only question is WHY IS THE E-STOP INSIDE THE CAGE? If you’re using your five axis kuka robot arm to kill James Bond, don’t give him an easy way to halt the program.
