There are few things I enjoy more than making lamearse jokes with little provocation, but if someone specifically tells me not to because my jokes are terrible then I'm pretty happy to stop, the idea of a joke being to provide some form of amusement. I wouldn't take it too personally, Oyéah. Probably best just to stop.

MeFites took care of me when I broke my leg.

I will say that MeFi has definitely gotten bigger, and as that's happened, I've ended up spending less and less time actually on MeFi but more and more time hanging out with MeFites in regular life (reader, I married one). I was at a birthday party for one Saturday; probably going to see Grace Jones with another. This is something we have been discussing behind the scenes. We're leaning toward some kind of click to expand in place option, but we're open to other possibilities too. We've heard from people that comment lengths in Recent Activity are both way too long and too short when truncated, so we're thinking about ways to balance that.

For several minutes last night, MetaFilter had two posts about dildos in Portland. Sadly, only one remains as the one with the better tags (which are now incorporated into the sole dildo survivor) was nuked by the mods.

Another thing I'd like would be to optionally be able to expand the comment inline, kind of like how we can show new comments. Better than opening up the entire topic just to view one comment.
