Quite frankly, I'd use an FM system if I could. Every time I want to go to a seminar or a social event, I need to know weeks ahead of time and double-check if any of my support workers are available - a lot of the time, they aren't, and then I have to sit behind. This is in contrast to the hearing students, who can just get an email about a seminar or a gathering on the same day and then decide to go at the drop of the hat. Holy shit, there are so many people propping up ignorant engineer solutions here. I'm a profoundly deaf and also Deaf graduate student, and I use a captionist and interpreter in courses. I can tell you right off the bat these are not ideal solutions in the least. I think it's always good to let the kids name the pet, unless they want to name it something crude. Even and especially if it's really dorky. Not only is it a sweet gesture, in ten to fifteen years they'll be embarrassed by the name and learn that decisions have long-term consequences. So +1 to Chocolate Donut.

In fact, I spent part of the summer attempting to incorporate more androgynous/feminine items of clothing into an overall masculine presentation, and all that happened was that people were much nicer to me, because I was no longer a gender freak/trans person/queer but instead a cis straight lady, as testified to by the fact that I was wearing a boxy but crew-necked woven silk shirt.

If this is for daily wear, you should get two pairs - they will retain their shape longer if you let them rest on shoe trees between wearings.

The Allen Edmonds Park Avenue is the canonical business shoe for this purpose.

The most formal shoes are lace-ups without broguing, like the Park Avenue.

Honestly I wouldn't talk to the landlord. I'd literally lock him out and claim he's some lying ex stalking you to said landlord if it comes up.

The amount of time people actually pursue legal recourse is tiny when they're sketchy fucks. I've kicked people out like this before.

Does he receive mail there? Is the address on his ID? If the answer to both of those is no, lock him out.

I get these a lot, and am prone to staph, and my process is this:

No touching with hands unless they are just-washed or I am in the shower with soapy hands. (I don't use antibac soap for anything else, but keep a trial size around for wound care.)

Neosporin, ideally on a bandaid or other covering that will hold it there.

I agree with others that this sounds like a problem with your company more so than a problem with the employee.

The employee doesn't have a mobile phone or computer, yet he needs one for work. Why is this his problem and not yours? Every job I've had has provided the tools I need to do my job.

The employee accrues a lot of miles visiting stores and you compensate him a lot for these miles. Why not shorten his route? Or give him a company car... [more]

I'm biased because one of my responsibilities is to maintain a huge collection of 35mm teaching slides (yes, actual physical slides) for three departments, but I think that presentations should:
